At the core of our brand is Iida Suutarla, a Finnish fashion designer with insights from Finland and Sweden. Rooted in comprehensive research and customer understanding, her swimwear design philosophy seamlessly blends premium quality, functionality, and flattering fits, embracing clean aesthetics in all of our bikinis and swimsuits.
What 'Ui' Holds
Our name 'Ui' holds a special meaning as it represents the Finnish word for 'swim.' Having grown up in the archipelago in Helsinki, water has always been a source of comfort and solace for Iida. By merging her expertise and design philosophy, she adds personal value to each of the swimwear pieces.
Designed in Finland, Made in Latvia
Our swimwear is designed in Helsinki, Finland and, since 2025, made in Riga, Latvia. We selected our European production partner for their quality, commitment to sustainability, and shorter distances from design to production.
Keeping production close allows us to stay hands-on throughout the process, from the first sketch to the final fit. We visit our factory partner regularly and are proud to work alongside the skilled people who bring Ui Swim to life with care and consistency in every swimsuit, bikini, and one-piece that carries the Ui Swim name.
