A New Era of Ui Swim: Our Upgraded Sustainable Swimwear Fabric
As part of our production move to Latvia, we’re happy to introduce a new generation of Ui Swim fabrics, used in our one-piece swimsuits, bikini tops, and bikini bottoms. We carefully chose this fabric for its comfort, performance, and sustainability.
This Italian-made Econyl® blend continues everything you already love about Ui Swim. It maintains the supportive fit and double-layered quality, while introducing an even softer feel, improved flexibility, and advanced resistance to dirt and wear.
This is the next step in our commitment to quality and responsible design.
1. Made from Regenerated Materials, Without Compromise
Our new fabric is made from 78% recycled polyamide (Econyl®) and 22% elastane, sourced from Italy.
Econyl® is a premium regenerated nylon made from discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, and other waste materials, turned into new, high-quality fiber.
The result: a sustainable swimwear fabric that feels and performs like a dream.
2. The Same Supportive Feel, Now Even Softer
We know many of you love how Ui Swim fits: snug, sculpting, and secure.
That hasn’t changed.
Our updated fabric maintains that body-hugging support, comfort, and coverage. Even our white swimwear stays non see through, thanks to the premium thickness and dense weave that give you the signature Ui Swim feeling: confident, smooth, and worry free.
What’s new is the improved softness and flexibility, a subtle but noticeable upgrade that lets your swimwear move effortlessly with you.
3. More Resistant. More Reliable.
Besides the feeling, this fabric works harder for you.
The upgraded Italian yarn is more resistant to dirt, sunscreen, and everyday wear, helping your swimwear stay in shape for longer.
Less fuss, more durability, aligned with the Ui Swim philosophy of effortless style.
4. Crafted in Latvia, Designed in Finland, Made for the World
This fabric upgrade happened together with one of our proudest milestones: Ui Swim’s full production move to Riga, Latvia.
By bringing production closer to home, we’ve strengthened our connection to the Nordic-Baltic region, ensuring smaller production batches, tighter quality control, and ethical European quality at every step.
It’s a move that allows us to refine every detail, from the thread to the final fit.
5. Sustainability as a Standard
For us, sustainability isn’t a marketing word. It’s the baseline.
Switching to Econyl® is one of the ways we continue to reduce waste and extend product lifespan, without compromising the clean, timeless aesthetic that defines Ui Swim.
Each piece is designed to transcend seasons and trends, reflecting our core belief that true style lasts.
Final Thoughts
Ui Swim’s new Italian Econyl® fabric represents more than an upgrade.
It’s a statement: that sustainability and sophistication can coexist, and that the smallest details can define how a swimsuit feels, fits, and lasts.
